The John Cooper School National Art Honor Society (NAHS) will again provide the opportunity to purchase a piece of art and help fight hunger by sponsoring the 5th Annual Empty Bowls Project on Saturday, February 20. Ceramic bowls, created by Cooper students in grades PK-12 as well as faculty and staff, will be used to serve a simple meal of soup, bread, and a drink, for an admission price of $10. Proceeds from the event have been designated for the Interfaith Food Pantry, with a portion earmarked for the Imagine Render Group to enable the continuation of the Empty Bowls Project on an annual basis. Since its inception, the Cooper Empty Bowls Project has raised $20,000 for hunger relief in our community. Contact: Jayla Ash Davis at 281-367-0900 ext. 304.
