The 30th Annual Lighting of the Doves and 6th Annual International Winter On The Waterway (iWOW) kick off the 2012 holiday season in The Woodlands on Saturday, November 17, 2012 as live music, interactive booths and games, snow play area, balloon artists, face painters, inflatables, ice carvers, fireworks and more entertain families from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Lighting of the Doves and iWOW are both free and open to the public.

The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center Captures Holiday Magic

The largest seasonal outdoor ice rink in the southwest opens daily in The Woodlands, November 17, 2012 – January 21, 2013 at the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive. Presented by your Houston Area Chevy Dealers and produced by The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Ice Rink is a perfect family spot for skaters of all skill levels – whether you’re a first timer or you can zip around like an Olympian. The Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland presents an impressive array of illuminated holiday scenes and storybook displays surrounding The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center along the northeast corner of Lake Robbins and Six Pines Drive.
Take your time and wander through the fantasyland of magical lighted toy soldiers, elves, doves and musical angels.
Donate non-perishable food items to benefit Interfaith of The Woodlands and receive a $2 off coupon to The Ice Rink. Donate 10 items or more and receive one free admission to The Ice Rink (limit 1 per family).
Winter Wonderland is free and open to the public from dusk until 11 p.m. on November 17, 2012 – January 21, 2013.

The choreographed Fountains at Waterway Square will perform to a selection of festive holiday tunes, November 17, 2012 - January 3, 2013 making the fountains a memorable spot to visit this holiday season.
Spectacular holiday lights also can be found in nearby Town Green Park, 2099 Lake Robbins Drive, where families can experience lighted holiday displays among rows of brightly lit trees, doves, snowflakes and other illuminated holiday scenes. The park display is open from 5:30 p.m. – 2 a.m., November 17, 2011 through January 4, 2012.

Enjoy carolers, singing groups and choirs, have breakfast with Santa and even take a class on how to become an elf at The Woodlands Mall, I-45 North at Lake Woodlands Drive.
The fun starts on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Breakfast with Santa, a morning of holiday fun from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. in the court near jcpenney.
On Saturday, December 8, 2012, take a class on how to be an elf from noon - 3 p.m., presented by The Elf Academy and compliments of The Woodlands Mall. Plus, enjoy a Jingle Bell Choir on Saturday, December 1 and 15, 2012 when Santa’s elves teach littles one how to play holiday hand bells. Classes will be held both days from noon – 3 p.m.
