THE WOODLANDS, TX (August 8, 2008) – Considering a new pet for the family?
Come by the Orvis store in Market Street – The Woodlands when representatives from Labrador, Collie, Golden Retriever and American Brittany rescue groups present opportunities for shoppers to adopt rescued animals.
Pet adoptions are held in the Orvis store at 9595 Six Pines Drive every Saturday from 10 am – 2 pm.
Adoptions from the Greater Houston Golden Retrievers group are held on the first Saturday of every month followed by the Houston Collie Rescue group on the second Saturday of every month. Rescue Labradors are available on the third Saturday of every month and rescue American Brittanys can be adopted on the fourth Saturday of every month. The American Brittany rescue group also is in the store on the fourth Sunday of every month from 10 am – 2 pm.
Shoppers also can visit with adoption experts to answer behavioral questions regarding their potential pet.
Recently, the Orvis store in Market Street received a Hearts of Gold Award from the Golden Retriever Rescue of Houston group.
“The adoption days are quite popular with our shoppers,” Market Street Activities Coordinator says Jenny Taylor. “We’re pleased to support the efforts of Orvis to find good homes for these wonderful dogs.”
For the comfort and safety of all visitors and to keep the greenspace free from animal waste, Market Street – The Woodlands asks all pet-owners not bring their own animals to Market Street.
