THE WOODLANDS, Texas. November 12, 2008 ~ With Thanksgiving falling on November 28 this year, there are fewer shopping days between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2008 than in the last five years. Shoppers have six fewer total shopping days – and one less weekend – to squeeze in visits with Santa, decorating and holiday shopping. Christmas is celebrated on December 25, and shoppers who celebrate Chanaukah, which begins Monday, December 22, or Kwanzaa, which begins Friday, December 26, also have fewer shopping days.
To accommodate busy shoppers who are trying to balance school, family and work schedules, The Woodlands Mall has added hours to shopping days during the busy holiday period. The shopping center will open earlier and closer later throughout the season. The extended schedule begins Friday, November 28 and includes:
- Friday, November 28: open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday, November 29: open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday, November 30: open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, December 1 through Saturday, December 6: open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. [regular hours]
- Sunday, December 7: open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
- Monday, December 8 through Thursday, December 11: open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. [regular hours]
- Friday, December 12: open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday, December 13: open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday, December 14: open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, December 15 through Friday, December 19: open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Saturday, December 20: open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday, December 21: open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.
- Monday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 23: open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 10:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 24: open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m.
- Thursday, December 25: shopping center is closed
The Woodlands Mall is closed on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25. The day after Christmas (Friday, December 26) hours are 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The mall resumes regular hours on Saturday, December 27. On Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1, hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Department stores, restaurants and entertainment venues at The Woodlands Mall may keep different hours. Please call for exact opening and closing times.
