The Woodlands, TX (November 4, 2008) – Several writers from the Society of American Travel Writers visited The Woodlands during the Society of American Travel Writers Conference held in Houston, Texas, from October 13 through 22.
Writers visiting The Woodlands included, Christine Loomis, the author of three family-travel guidebook, and a frequent contributor to Copley News Service, Endless Vacation, Family Fun, EnCompass, and Away.com, Betty Woo Martin, editor of DiscoverGuides, whose work focuses on adventure travel, historic sites, driving tours, and great weekend getaways, and Jimm Budd, writer for the Mexico City Reforma Newspaper, Turistampa and Invertour Magazine, as well as other publications in Mexico, and the Mexico City Bureaus of The New York Times and Time-Life Magazine.
Personalized itineraries were created for each writer during their stay at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. Their trips included meeting with a member of the Convention & Visitors Bureau, lunch at one of The Woodlands’ many restaurants, a water-taxi tour, shopping at Market Street, as well as tours of the convention centers and meeting spaces.
