MARKET STREET OFFERS HOLIDAY SHOPPING CARDS TO
BENEFIT AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

Cardholders Receive Special Discounts at Market Street During 11-Day Shopping Spree

THE WOODLANDS, TX (October 1, 2008) . . . Market Street – The Woodlands will kick off its campaign to raise funds for the American Cancer Society when it hosts its Holiday Shopping Card kick-off, Thursday October 23 from 6-9 pm.

In addition to enjoying a free concert with jazz recording artist Althea René, those at the October 23 kick-off event can be the first to purchase and use the Holiday Shopping Card which entitles shoppers to 20 percent off their purchases at any participating Market Street retailer from October 23 – November 2.  There is no limit to the number of purchases that can be made with each shopping card.

A minimum $70 donation is required to obtain a Holiday Shopping Card.   All proceeds from the sale of the Holiday Shopping Cards will benefit the American Cancer Society. 

The Market Street Holiday Shopping Cards can be purchased at participating Market Street retailers or at the Market Street Concierge Desk until November 2.

The Holiday Shopping Card project is sponsored by VICTORY, a 130-member volunteer fundraising branch of the American Cancer Society. 

Funds raised from the purchase of the Holiday Shopping Cards help pay for patient transportation, support groups, hotel accommodations for patients and their families and a variety of other support services.
