THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- October 28, 2008 – Town Center Theatre, Montgomery County’s first professional theatre company, will be holding children’s auditions for various roles in its upcoming production of Merry Christmas, George Bailey, which will run Dec. 5 – 21, 2008.
Auditions will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, beginning at 6 p.m. at The Woodlands Children’s Museum, located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive in the Mall. Auditions will be by appointment and can be scheduled by contacting the Town Center Theatre Artistic Department at (832) 592-9697, Ext. 3, no later than Nov. 4, 2008.
Based on the classic holiday film It’s A Wonderful Life, Merry Christmas, George Bailey tells the story of a man who is shown by his guardian angel what life would have been like if he had never been born. The play will be told in the form of a live radio broadcast, with actors playing multiple roles and a live foley artist providing sound effects on stage. The Children will be reading for the roles of George Bailey’s children and several other minor roles. We will be casting 2 boys and 2 girls.
All positions for Merry Christmas, George Bailey are paid, non-equity positions.
