THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- September 23, 2008 – As a result of Hurricane Ike, Town Center Theatre, Montgomery County’s first professional theater company, announced today that it will be postponing all performances of its next production of Julius Caesar. The show was originally scheduled to be performed at Nancy Bock Auditorium (McCullough Junior High School), Oct. 3 – 19, 2008.
“At this time, we feel that it is imperative for the people of this great community to focus on getting their lives and homes back in order, including members of our cast and crew,” said Managing Director Aaron Stryk. “We want to present the best possible production that we can, and unfortunately, given the circumstances, we are unable to do that at this time.”
Stryk said that the show will be rescheduled for spring 2009, most likely in the late April/early May timeframe. All current 2008 season subscriber tickets will be honored at that time. “We apologize to all of our patrons for this inconvenience, but we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to put on a quality production that meets the standards you have come to expect from this area’s only professional theatre,” he said.
Town Center Theatre will return to the stage with its final production of 2008, Merry Christmas, George Bailey, which is based on the holiday classic It’s A Wonderful Life. For more information, call (832) 592-9697.
