THE WOODLANDS, TX (September 26, 2008) – The largest outdoor ice rink in the Southwest for 10 years and a favorite in The Woodlands, The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center will have its Preview Opening on November 15 and 16 and will open daily beginning Saturday, November 22 at its new location along The Woodlands Waterway® at Six Pines Drive just beside the Town Center Parking Garage.

Open through January 19, The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center offers the perfect place to enjoy fantastic ice-skating in a beautiful holiday atmosphere, surrounded by over 500 shops and restaurants in the vibrant Town Center. The Ice Rink is a great tradition in The Woodlands, and daily specials which include Rock ’N Roll Friday’s make skating even more fun. The Ice Rink will be open Mondays through Thursdays 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sundays noon to 7 p.m. For more information on The Ice Rink call The Ice Rink Hotline at 281-419-5630.
Following an eventful afternoon on the ice, visitors can stroll the banks of The Woodlands Waterway® and experience the Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderland, which features illuminated holiday scenes and storybook displays. Visitors can wander along the winding waterway through a whimsical wonderland filled with traditional holiday images and featuring over 300,000 lights. A fantastical journey through lighted toy soldiers, soaring doves, Santa’s elves, and musical angels and snowmen, the Donoho’s Jewellers Winter Wonderful is open for visitors from dusk until 11 p.m. beginning November 22 until January 5, 2009.
