THE WOODLANDS, TX – (Wednesday, September 3, 2008) – Executives from The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) recently presented a $5,000 contribution on behalf of the company’s Good Neighbors Community Partnership Program to the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Alex Sutton, president of TWDC, and Bob Hibbetts, assistant controller of TWDC, are Eagle Scouts. Dan Leverett, vice president of commercial for TWDC, was active in the scouts.
Britton T. Vincent, III, development director for the Sam Houston Area Council of the BSA, and James J. Arket, one of the fundraising chairmen for the BSA and senior vice president of Grubb & Ellis Company, accepted the donation on behalf of the Council. Both Vincent and Arket are also former scouts.
The Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America encompasses 16 ½ counties including Montgomery and Harris Counties with approximately 100,000 youth participating in the scout programs. “We sincerely appreciate the $5,000 contribution.
