The Woodlands, TX (October 21, 2009) – The Center for Houston’s Future recently convened its Fall 2009 Business/Civic Leadership Forum in The Woodlands at the Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. The Forum marks the Center’s 18th Leadership Forum adding to its history of examining critical issues and creating innovative solutions.
The focus of the Forum, which meets biannually, is to bring together senior and regional leaders to foster long-term and strategic thinking about regional issues and to promote collaboration and action. “As a supporter of the entire Houston region, the Center for Houston’s Future selected The Woodlands as the venue for its Fall Leadership Forum. The Woodlands’ Waterway Development served as an example of extraordinary accomplishment realized through long-term and strategic thinking, planning and execution,” said Russell Richard, Director of Leadership and Engagement. “Special thanks to Nelda Blair (Chairman, The Woodland Township and Convention and Visitor’s Bureau) for kicking off the Forum with opening remarks at the welcome reception. Also, added thanks to Roger Galatas (President/CEO, Roger Galatas Interests) and Dr. Daniel Monticello (President, Molecular Logix) of the Woodlands, who served as Fishbowl panelist for discussion about economic development.”
