The Woodlands, Texas (Tuesday, April 28, 2009) The Interfaith of The Woodlands’ Telephone Directory has been awarded two of the most sought after awards in the industry. At the Association of Directory Publishers Annual Convention and Partners Trade Show, the Interfaith of The Woodlands’ Publication and Residential Services Department received two Gold Book awards for the 2008-2009 directory. The team received a First Place Gold Book award for Excellence in Print Directories for the 50,001 to 100,000 distribution category and a Second Place Gold Book Award for Excellence in Ad Design and Art- Print.
“It is truly amazing to win in each category,” said Bonni Horan, Director of Publications and Residential Services at Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Being awarded Excellence in Print Directories is such an honor. Our book was competing against a large number of entries and extremely talented competition. The Directory staff is phenomenal and we all worked very hard to produce the best and most complete directory possible for this wonderful community.”
In the past the Directory has received numerous accolades. The 2002-2003 as well as 2003-2004 Directory received the first place Gold Book Award of Excellence for circulation 35,001 to 50,000. The 2004-2005 Directory received a second place Gold Book Award. The 2006-2007 directory received the first place Gold Book Award of Excellence for circulation 25,001 to 50,000, and second place in Excellence Ad Design and Print. The 2006-2007 directory won 1st place for Best Cover, Best Ad Design-Print, Best Ad Design-Electronic and received the honor of 1st Place Gold Book Award for Circulation of 50,001 to 100,000. In 2007-2008, the directory received a First Place Gold Book award for Excellence in Ad Design – Electronic.

The ADP is an international trade association founded in 1898 to promote the establishment and maintenance of the highest standard of quality and service for the directory publishing industry. The association has over 150 members, many of whom publish more than 100 directories each year. The Gold Book Award is awarded each year to publishers based on their book’s appearance, community information, special features and dollars per directory circulated.
