The Woodlands, TX (Wednesday, February 18, 2009) It is that time again, and Interfaith of the Woodlands, a core charity of The Shell Houston Open, is seeking volunteers to help during the Houston Open held at Redstone Golf Club on March 30 through April 5.
“Volunteering during the Open is a unique and fun opportunity for local residents to help those in need within our community,” stated Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.
For every volunteer hour, the Houston Golf Association will donate money to Interfaith of The Woodlands to help children, families and seniors in our service area.
All volunteers play an integral part in the success of the tournament, serving in areas such as the Cart Barn, transporting food and beverages, and selling programs and pairing sheets.
Volunteers will receive a free entry pass to the Open all week, free lunch the day they work, and a Houston Golf Association T-shirt.
Individuals interested in volunteering at the Open, please contact Andrea Berkley at 832-615-8223 or register on Interfaith’s website at www.woodlandsinterfaith.org.
