THE WOODLANDS, TX (February 17, 2009) – It’s time to dust off those boots and pull on your finest cowboy hat as Market Street – The Woodlands hosts a day of Texas pride and Rodeo fun on Friday, February 27 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. as Market Street’s Central Park transforms into one of the most infamous scenes of the Wild West, a Wild West Shoot-Out.
As part of the Go Texan Day celebration, Market Street also will judge the “Best Dressed Texan Male/Female” and “Most Dressed Texans from a Business”.
Prizes include items from Bath Junkie, Bella Rinova, Dolce Bella, La Madeleine, Luke’s Locker, Nizhoni Boutique and Outback Western Wear. The winner of the “Most Dressed Texans from a Business” contest will be presented with a $250 Market Street Gift Card.
Even if you don’t win a prize, those wearing western wear clothing will receive special discounts at several Market Street stores.
Other festivities include live country music from the band “Austin”, demonstrations from equestrian groups and Old West re-enactors, performances from the Lone Star Cow Girls, great Texas cuisine from Jasper’s Restaurant, special discounts from Market Street stores and restaurants and real Texas longhorns. Guests are invited to have their picture taken with this Texas iconic symbol from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Just when you thought the fun would end head to Outback Western Wear (Market Street location) for a Public Dance featuring the Kyle Hutton band 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
