THE WOODLANDS, TX – (February 5, 2009) – Rio24 Cigars & Premier Bar is planning to open in April at 24 Waterway Avenue in The Woodlands Town Center, according to Dan Leverett, vice president, commercial for The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC).
Rio24 will feature a selection of fine cigars from their extensive humidor, along with an exceptional collection of Scotches, bourbons, foreign and domestic beer, a preferred wine list and traditional or favorite martinis. While not a restaurant, Rio24 will offer guests a great menu from neighboring restaurants on request. “This preferred setting is for customers who appreciate quality products in a surrounding of Old World ambiance,” said owner Michael Wilson.
“A state-of-the-art ventilation system will provide an enjoyable environment for both cigar smokers and non-smokers. Up-to-the-minute financial updates, breaking news and sporting events on flat panel TVs, along with wireless Internet capability will make it an easy step from the office environment to a relaxing atmosphere that allows the workday to continue or slide into relaxation mode,” Wilson said.
“Rio24 is excited about our Waterway location and the opportunity to provide high class service to The Woodlands. The Waterway Square District is the epicenter for business growth in The Woodlands and North Houston,” Wilson said. “The Fountains at Waterway Square, Hubbell & Hudson, Crush, The Woodlands Mall, Americas, Baker Street Pub, The Goose’s Acre, and more restaurants and shops to come, plus the impressive growth of new homes and apartments in and around Town Center, make The Waterway Square District the premier address in Texas.”
Hours of operation will be 10 am – 12 midnight Monday through Wednesday, 10 am – 1 am Thursday through Saturday, and 11 am – 12 midnight on Sunday. For more information, visit www.rio24cigars.com.
