The Woodlands, TX (June 2009) The South Montgomery County Woodlands Economic Development Partnership (EDP) recently held its Quarterly Partner Luncheon at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center.
For the past four years, the EDP has held these luncheons for their Partners in order to keep them informed of important issues facing businesses today. The guest speaker was Nelda Luce Blair, Chairman of The Woodlands Convention and Visitors Bureau. Ms. Blair presented key facts about the community, as well as how important the CVB’s role is in regards to economic development.
Ron Bourbeau, CEO of the Economic Development Partnership, said, “Our community has many amenities of which we should all be proud. The Woodlands CVB helps bring vital tourist dollars to our area to help maintain our excellent quality of life, which reduces the burden on residents by keeping property taxes low. World-class shopping, fabulous dining, exciting entertainment and numerous parks and pathways help EDP attract and retain businesses for South Montgomery County.”
