THE WOODLANDS, Texas. June 2, 2009 ~ More than 1,000 donations of blood are needed every day to help save the lives of individuals in the Texas Gulf Coast region. To make it easy for individuals in The Woodlands area to donate, The Woodlands Mall is hosting a blood drive in cooperation with KPRC NBC Channel 2 and the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.
The blood drive will be held in Future Court (near JCPenney) of the shopping center on Friday, June 19 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Individuals can stop by at any time during the day or can schedule an appointment. To schedule an appointment, individuals should call 888.482.5663 or visit www.giveblood.org. On the website, donors log in to Digital Donor and enter the sponsor code 9002WOLD.
Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weight a minimum of 110 pounds and be in good general health without any cold or flu symptoms. The donation process requires about one hour of time.
