The family-friendly resort is looking for The Ultimate Smoothie and the winning recipe will be promoted via the resort’s website; and Facebook and Twitter pages. Additionally, one winner will receive the Resort’s Destination: Fun! Package which includes deluxe accommodations, breakfast for two, and access to the signature water area-the Forest Oasis Waterscape™.
“At home, my favorite cooking tool is the KitchenAid smoothie blender. I actually have two,” says Executive Chef John Brazie. And with so many combinations, the possibilities are endless. “You can’t go wrong with fresh fruit and yogurt, but I like using unexpected ingredients like jalapenos, fish sauce, cucumbers and radishes to create a savory finish.”

Below is Chef Brazie’s Serrano smoothie recipe.
Chef Brazie’s Serrano Blackberry Smoothie
1/2 cup Daikon radish
1 ea. Jalapeno, seeded and chopped
1/4 cup Plain yogurt
1 cup Blackberries
1 tsp. Ginger, chopped
1 ea. Orange, juice of
2 tbs. Sugar
1 tsp. Fish Sauce
2 cups Ice
Blend all ingredients.
