THE WOODLANDS, TX – (Monday, March 09, 2009) – The Boardwalk at Town Center, a luxury multifamily community situated along The Woodlands Waterway®, recently garnered the ’08 Best Rental Development Up to Four Stories at the 25th Annual Best in American Living Award (BALA) design competition in Wynn, Las Vegas. BALA is sponsored by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB®) Design Committee.
Staff members from Professional Builder magazine, members of the NAHB Design Committee and a select group of judges chose winners based on innovative and creative residential designs. Thousands of entrants from across the United States were received.
The Boardwalk at Town Center consists of 450 apartment homes. The exterior of the Boardwalk features Southern Coastal architecture with stucco, metal and cedar and soaring glass accents. Amenities include lush landscaping; two swimming pools with Jacuzzis; scenic cocktail terrace overlooking a private water feature; Resort-style health club; cyber café equipped with a business station and coffee bar; conference center; gourmet kitchen for cooking classes; and a rooftop terrace with views of The Waterway. Cambridge Development Group of Houston is the developer of the Boardwalk while Greystar Development & Construction of Houston is the builder. Humphreys and Partners Architects of Dallas is the designer/architect and land planner of the multifamily community. The interior designer is Karen Kramer & Associates of Houston.
The Boardwalk at Town Center was also recently recognized as the 2008 Project of the Year: Low-Rise winner at the Multifamily Executive and Developer Awards Luncheon held in October 2008 in Las Vegas.
