THE WOODLANDS, TX – (Tuesday, March 17, 2009) –The merchants at Sterling Ridge Village Center and The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC) are debuting the Swing Into Spring Carnival on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 10 am – 2 pm at Sterling Ridge Village Center, according to Susan Vreeland-Wendt, director of marketing for TWDC.
This free event includes a variety of dance performances from Boni’s Dance & Performing Arts Studio, In-Step Dance & Performing Arts Center, Jessica Ferguson & Crew, Arthur Murray® Dance Studios, Woodlands Civic Ballet and Woodlands Twirling Academy.
Lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, will pose for free photos from 10:30 am – 11:30 am at the event. The Easter Bunny will also make a special guest appearance from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm along with appearances by Bones and Stones from the Houston Museum of Natural Science Xploration Station in The Woodlands.
Free carnival games, giant inflatable rides, face painting, thumb print art, balloons and delicious treats add to the excitement as well as several exhibitor booths. The Woodlands 35th Anniversary Commemorative tee shirt will be on sale for $5 at TWDC’s booth. The grand finale prize drawing, a $1,000 shopping spree to Sterling Ridge Village Center, will take place at 1:45 pm. You must be present to win.
“We are excited to debut the Swing Into Spring Carnival at Sterling Ridge Village Center. Residents will enjoy spectacular dance performances, exhibitor booths, free carnival games, Rock Walls, mascot appearances and the Easter Bunny while kicking off the spring season,” Vreeland-Wendt said.
Sterling Ridge Village Center is located at the northwest corner of Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl Road.
