The Woodlands, TX (Wednesday, March 18, 2009) Following a recent reprint of long-time Woodlands resident Roger Galatas’ book The Woodlands: The Inside Story of Creating a Better Hometown, Galatas donated $500, a portion of the proceeds from book sales, to Interfaith of The Woodlands.
The popular book recognizes and celebrates the visionary role and commitment of George Mitchell, founder of The Woodlands, outlines how The Woodlands was created and explains what it is like to work, live and play in The Woodlands today.
“The book features a historical perspective providing a reference for individuals and area businesses,” said Galatas.
Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands, added, “We are extremely grateful for the donation from Mr. Galatas. Our organization’s history and service to this great community is illustrated in his book and I truly believe the book tells a wonderful story.”
