THE WOODLANDS, Texas. March 2, 2009 ~ Friday, March 20 is the time for area children, teens and young adults to shine when The Woodlands Mall hosts the Sunburst U.S.A. Beauty Pageant and Baby Contest. The pageant, which begins at 7:00 p.m., is a preliminary event to the Sunburst State and International Finals.
Sunburst, in its 31st year of hosting pageants, is one of the only national pageant systems to reward every participant with a trophy. In addition to the trophy, some participants may win crowns, sashes or banners.
The Sunburst pageant will be held in the JCPenney court at the shopping center and is open to boys and girls ages infant to three, and girls ages four to 27. Registration begins at 6:00 p.m. and continues until the 7:00 p.m. start time. Before Friday, March 20, applications will be available at The Woodlands Mall Information Center, located in Center Court or online at www.sunburstbeauty.com. The entry fee is $40.
