The Woodlands, Texas (Thursday, April 30, 2009) Over 150 people gathered at Interfaith of The Woodlands on Wednesday, May 5, 2009 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm for Interfaith’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.
“We are truly grateful for the countless volunteers who take time out of their schedule to help Interfaith,” shared Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands. “Their dedication to this organization is tremendous!”
This year, the volunteers enjoyed a meal from Katz Deli while listening to music from The Jamming Group and The Woodlands Sweethearts.
All individuals who have volunteered their time helping Interfaith were encouraged to attend the fun and entertaining event.
In 2008, Interfaith volunteers donated 28,482 hours, equaling 1,186 days or over three years, and thus far this year, volunteers have already donated 9,856 hours, equaling 411 days. This total already is more than one year.
Bill Stauffer, a loyal volunteer at Interfaith’s Hand Me Up Shop, spends his time helping with electronics “I go to the Hand Me Up Shop and pick up the baskets full of electronics. I take them home and plug them in, making two separate piles. If the electronics work, then I put a sticker on them and then they are sold at the shop. I love it.”
