INTERFAITH'S "FIVE WHO SHARE" LUNCHEON HIGHLIGHTS VOLUNTEERS

OUTSTANDING ENTERTAINMENT LINED UP FOR NOVEMBER 21The Woodlands, TX - Each year, Interfaith salutes five outstanding individuals who have invested in the community and have greatly inspired others through their volunteerism in the areas of Education, Health, Fine Arts, Youth and Senior Citizens. Nominations are being accepted now through January 27, 2010 for Interfaith of The Woodlands’ 2010 Five Who Share Service of Excellence Awards.

“We encourage the community to submit nominations for people they know who have demonstrated commitment and dedication by volunteering to significantly improve the lives of others and our community through his or her service. Simply, individuals who make an incredible difference,” said Dr. Ann Snyder, President and CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands.

Each year, five exceptional individuals are selected based upon the nominations received. Interfaith is delighted to recognize and honor each one of them for their excellence at our annual community-wide luncheon.

The 2010 Five Who Share Service of Excellence Awards will be held on Friday, March 5th from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center at 2301 North Millbend Drive.  Debra Sukin, St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital & St. Luke’s Lakeside Hospital CEO, will serve as the Honorary Chair of this year’s “health-themed” event.

“Interfaith of The Woodlands is thrilled and honored to have Ms. Sukin serve as our honorary chair this year,” said Snyder. “Ms. Sukin demonstrates all that is good in our community”.

Luncheon tickets are $50 each, and 100% of the proceeds benefit Interfaith’s Programs and Services.

Interfaith of The Woodlands’ mission is based on the belief that volunteerism is a core value of good citizenship and is a vital component in helping to continue to build a more loving and caring community.
