The Woodlands, TX - The Ice Rink at The Woodlands Town Center™ recorded its best year as more than 43,500 skaters visited the venue during its eight weeks of operation, according to The Woodlands Convention Center & Visitors Bureau. This year’s figure broke the 2006 record when a reported 43,133 skaters were in attendance.

Guests visited the Ice Rink from over 560 different zip codes. 61% of skaters came from outside of The Woodlands and South Montgomery County. The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau collected surveys each day the Ice Rink was open. 97% of those surveyed said that they would like to see a permanent Ice Rink in The Woodlands. 53% of guests planned on spending $25 to $75 while at the Ice Rink. 71% planned on dining in The Woodlands, while 65% planned on shopping in Town Center.
With more than 20,000 gallons of water used to create the ice, The Woodlands Ice Rink is one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in the southwest.
