Gloria Williams Joins Economic Development Partnership Team

 

 

OUTSTANDING ENTERTAINMENT LINED UP FOR NOVEMBER 21The Woodlands, TX - The South Montgomery County Woodlands Economic Development Partnership (EDP) recently hired a new administrative assistant.


Gloria Williams is new to the Economic Development Partnership and will serve as its Administrative Assistant.  In this capacity she will be responsible for handling the daily administrative needs for the organization.  Gloria will be assisting clients with requests for information and demographics, assisting with the preparation of board meetings and special events, maintaining marketing materials, as well as assisting with various research projects.


Prior to joining the EDP she was the Office Manager in Sherman, TX for the Stacy Rake Agency, Nationwide Insurance.  In this role, she was responsible for scheduling appointments for the agents, managing the office procedures, processing new hires, and providing customer service. She was with the Agency for six years.


Gloria is a graduate of Arkansas State University with a BA degree in Business Administration.


Gloria and her husband Wendell live in The Woodlands.  She and Wendell are proud parents of two daughters. Britni, age 20, a junior at Texas Christian University and Cortni, age 15, a sophomore at The Woodlands High School.

The South Montgomery County Woodlands Economic Development Partnership  (EDP) is the lead agency for business recruitment and retention for the South Montgomery area and includes the cities of Shenandoah and Oak Ridge North as well as the master planned community, The Woodlands.  The primary target for EDP clients are employers or potential employers that might want assistance in identifying potential sites for locating their business, or to determine their qualifications for incentives that might be available.  The EDP also active in tracking workforce by industry cluster and also in helping The WorkSource and the Lone Star College System identify training needs within the clusters that is prevalent in the area.
