The Woodlands, TX - Do you know a child or family who this year overcame incredible odds, made a significant contribution to the community, or perhaps helped someone in need? If so, Market Street wants to hear from you.
The shopping and entertainment destination is now accepting nominations for an honoree and official “Tree Lighter” for its 2010 Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. The ceremonial lighting of Market Street’s giant, 70-foot Christmas tree is scheduled for November 18. The tree lighting will be followed by spirited holiday tunes from The Woodlands Orchestra Band, magic elves and carriage rides.
Simply submit your nomination in 500 words or less by describing why a child/family you know should be the Official Tree Lighter of the Market Street Christmas Tree. Nominations should also include contact information for both the nominator and the nominee.

Former Tree Lighters include: 2009-Jacquelyn and Jillian Johnson, 2008-Montemurno family, 2007-Yasmin Watkins, 2006-Ryan Lively, 2005-Rhondi Smith and daughter Sophie.
