RFP – Waterway Cruisers Catering
RFI – Waterway Cruisers Sponsorship
The Woodlands, TX -
The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau has initiated a process to determine interest in naming rights, advertising rights and the catering services for the six Waterway Cruisers operating on The Woodlands Waterway®.
The CVB has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Interest (RFI) for activities related to The Woodlands Waterway Cruisers in 2011 which could include naming rights, advertising rights and catering services on the cruisers.
It is anticipated that naming rights for the cruisers would allow a business to name the boats and display appropriate signage on the cruisers. Separate advertising rights are being considered as well. The Catering RFP is to determine interest by companies or restaurants who have interest to provide food and beverage services on the boats.
The Waterway Cruisers have between 40,000 – 50,000 paid riders per year, according to The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. Additionally, events and festivals along The Woodlands Waterway attract more than one-half million people per year with hundreds of thousands more visiting the area as part of their daily routine.
"The Waterway Cruisers are one of the most visible elements in The Woodlands Town Center," says Nick Wolda, president of The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau. "There is tremendous exposure associated with the cruisers. Plus, the Bureau's plan to position them as
focal point upcoming marketing efforts makes them even more appealing for naming, advertising and catering rights."
Businesses can participate in the selection process for naming and advertising rights by submitting a Letter of Interest to The Woodlands Convention Bureau that includes general company information and why the business is interested in participating. Letters of Interest and any supporting materials must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 to Kelly O. Ingram, Business Development Specialist, at The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau by email at Kelly.Ingram@thewoodlandscvb.com.
