The Woodlands, TX -
Having raised more than $53,000 for local Montgomery County charities since its inception, Market Street’s Change for Charities program has announced the following non-profit organizations that will benefit from the program in 2011.
Those selected include Special Life Network, an organization dedicated to the integration of disabled children, teen and adults into the community; The Woodlands Children’s Museum, which encourages the development of children through play and interaction; Panther Creek Inspirational Ranch, a unique facility incorporating the use of horses to help families cope with emotional and physical disabilities; and Bridgewood Farms, a provider of programs focused on individuals coping with intellectual disabilities.
Market Street’s Change for Charities program encourages those who park curbside at the shopping and entertainment destination to voluntarily deposit change into one of its 69 change receptacles.
Also contributing to Market Street’s Change for Charity program is The Woodlands Car Club, a group of local car enthusiasts that meet the first Sunday of each month from 10 am – noon at Market Street to collect funds for Change for Charity recipients.
“Throughout the years, Market Street has participated in number of charitable events,” says Market Street Marketing Director Jenny Taylor. “Change for Charity is just another opportunity where our shoppers can give back to the community.”
