The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is seeking more than 1,000 volunteers to assist with the event, scheduled for Saturday, April 9 from 10 am – 7 pm and Sunday, April 10 from 10 am – 6 pm. Now in its sixth year, the festival features over 200 national, regional and international fine artists in a wide variety of mediums. The Volunteer Sign-Up Form is located on the festival website, www.woodlandsartsfestival.com/volunteer.signup.asp.
All volunteers will receive an official festival t-shirt they can keep, plus free admission to the festival during their shift(s). Volunteers are needed in many areas, including volunteer coordinator, artist relations, admissions, gate monitor/greeter, entertainment assistant, culinary arts area, artopoly/children’s activities, souvenir sales and the Student Art Exhibition. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
“We could not put on this festival without our many wonderful volunteers,” said Jenny Wright, festival director. “It’s a fun way for groups and individuals to get involved and contribute to the arts in our community.”
The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival is produced by The Woodlands Waterway Arts Council, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization whose mission is to provide regional cultural enrichment opportunities that encourage, support and promote the visual and performing arts.
