Waterway Square in The Woodlands will once again become a great destination for live outdoor music as “Live at Night,” a free concert series returns every Saturday, March 5 – 26 from 6 pm – 9 pm.
This year’s series feature a variety of entertainers including teen pop/rock band Maximus, country-based the Cody Johnson Band, folk artist the Mockingbird Sun and jazz/R&B sensation the Jimmie Hunter Band. Live at Night’s spring entertainment schedule is as follows:
- March 5 – Maximus with special guest Kollin Baer
- March 12 – Cody Johnson Band with special guest Mary Sarah
- March 19 – Mockingbird Sun with special guest Kathryn Hallberg
- March 26 – Jimmie Hunter Band
Located along Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square is a one-acre public plaza with unique water features and green spaces that serve as the “centerpiece” of The Woodlands Town Center. Picnics, chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome.
“Live at Night” attendees will find limited, free street parking along Lake Robbins Drive, Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square Place, and Timberloch Place. Paid covered parking also is available at the 24 Waterway Parking Garage (located at corner of Fountain Plaza & Lake Robbins Drive), the Waterway Square Parking Garage (between Fountain Plaza and Woodloch Court) and the surface parking lot along the corner of Waterway Avenue and Timberloch Place.
“Live at Night” is free and open to the public, thanks to generous sponsors such as Kyle Sherburne – State Farm Insurance, The Woodlands Development Company, Munday Chevrolet and Berripop Frozen Yogurt.

The CVB is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization which implements marketing programs and produces events to attract visitors and stimulate economic development and growth in the area. These activities are funded through sales tax and room tax revenues collected annually by The Woodlands Township. About 2/3rds of the sales tax and room tax collections are available to reduce property tax requirements for Woodlands property owners. The CVB is funded by The Woodlands Township in the amount of approximately $2 million annually. In addition to the cash contribution, the CVB receives staff services of approximately $457,000 annually.
