The Woodlands, TX -
One of the many highlights of the sixth annual Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival, set for Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10, will be a free concert performance by D.R.U.M., set for Saturday evening from 7 – 9 pm at the Palette Café, located in Town Green Park overlooking The Woodlands Waterway®.
D.R.U.M. (an acronym for Divine Rhythm United Motion) is a five-member group that "uniquely combines continental African and African Diasporic rhythms with a healthy dose of jazz, funk, R&B and Latin influences to create a rich, earthy sound. They top this off with a full melodious sound, abundant pop hooks, smooth vocals and a colorful stage appearance." D.R.U.M. has appeared in concerts from Pori, Finland to Tartu, Estonia, and toured the U.S. with the Bob Marley Festival annual tour since 1993. Check out their website at www.drumusic.com.
"We are extremely fortunate to have this talented and eclectic group as a part of our festival this year," said Jenny Wright, festival director. "The free concert will be a great way to relax after spending the day shopping for art treasures."
