THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- April 10, 2008 – Town Center Theatre, Montgomery County’s first professional theater company, presents the hilarious David Ives comedy All In The Timing, a collection of comic scenes that combines wit, intellect, satire and just plain fun.  All In The Timing plays at Bock Auditorium, located at McCullough Junior High School, May 2 – 18, 2008. 

Winner of the John Gassner Playwriting Award, All In The Timing presents six one-acts that are short, comedic and sometimes absurd, with frequent wordplay.  Scenes include an awkward meeting between two people in a café whose interaction is continually reset each time one of them says the wrong thing; a man and a woman who fall in love while communicating in an invented language; and three monkeys attempting to type Hamlet, all the while discussing the merits of literature.  Known for its brevity and wit, the show has been a very popular choice with theatre patrons. 

According to Artistic Director Joseph Milillo what will set Town Center Theatre’s version of the show apart from previous renditions is that all of the actors in the cast will learn every part of the show.  They will then draw their parts before the play begins in full view of the audience each night.  “This will ensure a unique experience at every performance, as well as a spontaneous feel that will keep the humor fresh and full of energy,” he said. 

“Obviously, this will be a challenge for our actors, as they will have to be ready at moment’s notice to assume any of the roles in the show, respective to their gender,” added Artistic Director Chris Tennison.  “But the willingness to attempt such a feat is what distinguishes a professional-level theatre, and we think our audiences will enjoy seeing the unique characteristics each performer brings to his or her roles.” 

All In The Timing runs from May 2 through May 18, with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets are available at $25 for regular patrons and $20 for students and seniors age 55 or over; discounts are available for subscribers and groups of 10 or more.  For tickets, call (832) 592-9697.
