Upcoming events at Market Street
Jazz fans won’t have to wait long for the sounds of The Jazz Beat Concert Series to return to Market Street this fall. The Jazz Beat series in Central Park returns on Thursdays from 6:30 – 9:30 pm, September 21 through November 9.
Visitors to Market Street won’t want to miss this popular series. Bring a blanket or lawn chair for a free concert performed by renowned musicians in a beautiful outdoor setting. A list of performers will be listed on the Market Street website soon.
The Farmer’s Market continues through October every Saturday from 8am-11am. Fresh produce, breads, salsas and more. Live music can be heard at the Market from 8:30am-10:30am. For a line up of these local Texas artists visit the Market Street website.
The Fine Fall Arts Show will be presented at Market Street on October 7 from 10am-7:00pm. This 5 th annual show will showcase works of art available for purchase at Market Street. Works of art by over 40 artisans who live in the greater Woodlands area will be displayed. The art show will also feature artist demonstrations, children’s activities and live entertainment throughout the day.
Join in welcoming back Ten For Texas. This 10-mile road race will wind through The Woodlands Saturday, October 14. This event is being produced by The Community Associations of The Woodlands and Luke’s Locker. The 2006 event will benefit The Woodlands Recreation Center. Starting and finishing at Market Street the event will include a Texas band, food, beverages, and fun. The Woodland’s Light The Night is an evening walk and fundraiser, held annually in communities across the country, to commemorate lives touched by blood cancer and support blood cancer research and patient services. Teams of friends, family, and local businesses come together as one community to celebrate hope and survivorship, and the walk ends with live entertainment, food, and family activities. This year’s Light The Night Walk will be held on October 29, at Market Street, and the walk will begin at 6:00 pm. Looking for a spook-tacular Halloween event that is safe and fun for the whole family? Visit Market Street Halloween night (October 31) and enjoy Trick or Treat at Market Street from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in Central Park. Enjoy a safe alternative to trick-or-treating door to door as participating Market Street tenants pass out candy to trick-or-treaters. More information on this event will be available in early October.
