The U.S. Masters Swimming National Long Course Championships
to be held at The Woodlands Athletic Club
The event will be held August 10-13, 2007
THE WOODLANDS, TX – (Monday, August 06, 2007) - The Woodlands Masters Swim Team and The Woodlands Swim Team will co-host the 2007 United States Masters Swimming National Long Course Championships at The Woodlands Athletic Club (WAC), according to Starr Rutledge, general manager of the WAC. The event will take place August 10-13, 2007.
“The Woodlands Athletic Club is proud to be the site for the 2007 United States Masters Swimming National Long Course Championships. This marks the fourth time the event has been held at the WAC,” Rutledge said. “The nine-lane, 50-meter facility at the WAC is one of the premier outdoor swimming venues in the south and has hosted 29 national and international swimming and diving championship meets over the years.”
The United States Masters Swimming National Long Course Championships are open to Masters swimmers, ages 18 and older, worldwide including the United States,
Canadian, Japanese and Central and South American Masters teams. Over 1,000 competitors will compete in the meet. More than 90 athletes from The Woodlands Masters Swim Team will participate in the event.
