The Woodlands Mall Celebrates Labor Day Weekend With International Music on the Courtyard
THE WOODLANDS, Texas. August 29, 2005. For Labor Day weekend, The Woodlands Mall “Take The Feeling With You” Entertainment Series features performers who capture sounds from around the world. On Friday, September 2, visitors can enjoy the sounds of Irish rock and on Saturday, September 3, it’s Latin jazz. Both concerts are free on the outdoor courtyard.
Performances are held from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays on the new retail and restaurant courtyard. In case of inclement weather, the performances will be held inside The Woodlands Mall in Future Court. The entertainment series continues weekends through Saturday, October 1.
Upcoming performances:
International Friday, September 2 – The Churn – Irish Rock combines a range of Southern rock styles with Irish, Scottish and American traditional music.
Saturday, September 3 -- Jaime Casco & Toque Rojo is a tropical Latin jazz trio featuring Jamie Casco, one of the few performing artists in America who specializes in the unique sound of Roland Midi Brass Pedals.
HOT JAZZ Friday, September 9 – Cadillac Jazz plays hot Chicago blues that will spice up the weekend with original tunes and old favorites.
Saturday, September 10 – Bourbon Street, one of Houston’s most versatile bands, plays a mix of Zydeco, classic rock, R&B, Motown, blues and dance favorites. This is a favorite in The Woodlands and back by popular demand.
