Willowbrook mall and The woodlands Mall provide stress-free shopping for 2007 christmas season

Together with NearbyNow's Internet and mobile service, shoppers can check store inventory at both malls and reserve items to pick up later

The Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall have teamed up with NearbyNow to ease the stress of Christmas shopping. Instead of racing from store to store to find the perfect gift, a new product search service lets shoppers check store inventory from the internet or mobile phone, and even reserve products to pick up. This new service empowers shoppers to experience stress-free shopping this holiday season at The Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall.

Holiday shopping can be a stressful time for frazzled consumers with little or no time to shop as they face the daunting task of finding, and purchasing, the perfect gift. Buying online can often further complicate the matter, with shipping charges, accuracy issues, timeliness and potentially discovering that the perfect gift is on back order until 2008.

The Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall with NearbyNow have created a new approach to holiday shopping this season by combining the convenient use of the Internet with the vibrancy of in-store shopping. By shopping online before heading out the door, consumers have the ability to search inventory of more than 800,000 products at The Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall, just by going to www.thewoodlandsmall.com or www.shopwillowbrook.com.

Once the desired gift is found, shoppers can take advantage of the newly enhanced NearbyNow-powered service and can check availability. In 10 minutes or fewer, a shopper can receive a response letting the shopper know if the item is available. Shoppers can also select to reserve the product, putting the item on hold at the retail store of their choice. NearbyNow will confirm the product's availability, usually within 10 minutes, and notify shoppers when it will be available for in-store pickup.

Additionally, while at The Woodlands Mall or Willowbrook Mall, consumers can use a mobile phone to find last-minute gifts, view coupons and sales promotions, and even receive mobile-only offers. It's easy to use, shoppers text the mall's shortcode to the shortcode NEARBY (632729), then a shopper will receive simple instruction on how to search hundreds of sale items at the mall of their choice by typing such categories as toys, sneakers or any other item.

  • Willowbrook Mall -- WB

Both The Woodlands Mall and Willowbrook Mall display signage outlining the appropriate shortcodes and instructions throughout the mall.
