Kelly Overbeck Joins The Woodlands Township and
The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau as Event Manager

The Woodlands, TX (February 12, 2008) – Kelly Overbeck recently joined The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau as event manager.

Ms. Overbeck will manage and plan events and festivals for The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau (TWCVB). Some of the events will include the Public Safety Heroes Awards Banquet, the annual Red, Hot & Blue Festival, The Ice Rink, Donoho’s Jewelers’ Winter Wonderland, Lighting of the Doves, International Winter on The Waterway (iWOW), Town Green Park events and Waterway Square programming.

Ms. Overbeck joins The Woodlands Township and TWCVB after working for the Southern Texas PGA where she executed various programs and events. She was responsible for assisting in professional tournaments, Junior Golf programs, and managing the GolfPass program.

Ms. Overbeck received her Bachelors of Arts in Communications with emphasis in advertising, public relations and photo journalism and a minor in hospitality administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is also a graduate of The Woodlands High School and was a member of the girl’s varsity golf team as well as served in numerous community projects.

Her energy and creativity is a great asset for planning the upcoming events for The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau.”
