2006 Whistle Stop Tour through Montgomery County

Friday, March 3 - 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Grand Ballroom of The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center

PURPOSE

The Whistle Stop Tour is held to provide an opportunity for the business community and residents of Montgomery County to meet face-to-face with the candidates and to encourage a strong business vote in the upcoming elections. The attendance averages about 350.

LOCATION

The event will be held in the Grand Ballroom of The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, which is located at 2301 N. Millbend in The Woodlands.

PROGRAM

The doors will open at 11:00 a.m., and the program will begin at approximately 11:55 a.m. Attendees have the opportunity to visit with the candidates and enjoy an All-American buffet lunch. From the stage, the M.C. will introduce each candidate, and the candidate will have approximately two minutes to speak to the audience. Candidates will be introduced in the order that they are on the ballot, starting with national races and finishing with local races. No substitutes will be allowed to speak for the candidates.
