TCID NAMES MARIAN LECK AS SECURITY MANAGER
THE WOODLANDS, Texas - (January 10, 2005) - With 24 years of experience in public safety, Marian Leck has been named Security Manager for Town Center Improvement District (TCID) in The Woodlands, Texas.
Ms. Leck will be responsible for the management of TCID's aggressive public safety program including interaction with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Constable's Office, police departments of Oak Ridge North and Shenandoah, The Woodlands Fire Department, Alpha & Omega Royal Mounted Patrol, ISSC Waterway Patrol, and The Waterway Ambassador's program.
"We're excited to have Ms. Leck join the organization," said Stephen P. Sumner Sr., vice president of operations and public safety for TCID. "We will continue to focus on the successful programs currently in operation and look forward to future initiatives as the Town Center continues to grow as a destination."
Ms. Leck recently served 14 years as the manager of Neighborhood Services for the Community Associations of The Woodlands. She has been a recipient of many honors for her service at the Community Associations including the Outstanding Crime-Prevention Organization in the State of Texas from the Texas Crime Prevention Association and international awards for both the Best Youth-Based and the Best Community-Based Crime Prevention Program from the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners. Ms. Leck was instrumental in the organization placing in the Top Ten for the National Night Out Programs from the National Association of Town Watch for the past 13 years.
Ms. Leck has served as a Commissioned Peace Officer since 1983 and served as the President of the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners from 2003 to 2004. The Victoria County Peace Officer's Association awarded her the Peace Officer of the Year in 1984.
Governor George W. Bush has recognized Ms. Leck for her outstanding service to the State of Texas for Crime Prevention and National Night Out. She has also achieved the title Crime Prevention Specialist through the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners. Ms. Leck is a graduate from Victoria College Police Academy.
