Background Information About the 20 th annual Taste of the Town

Generous underwriters have signed on to help make the 20 th annual Taste of the Town an event to remember. Event sponsors this year include H-E-B and The Woodlands Town Center at the Iron Chef Level; The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center and Coca-Cola at the Sous Chef level; and Bayside Printing, Buca di Beppo, First Choice Emergency Room, Forest Park – The Woodlands, Kroger, Randall’s, St. Luke’s Medical Center - The Woodlands, and WoodlandsDining.com at the Gourmet Chef level. The Houston Chronicle is the media sponsor.

Taste tickets are now available to purchase at area Woodforest National Bank branches; the H-E-B Woodlands Market; Kroger stores on Sawdust Road, in Cochran’s Crossing, Sterling Ridge, and Alden Bridge Shopping Centers; Randall’s stores in Panther Creek, Grogan’s Mill and Windvale Shopping Centers; and at The Chamber office (1400 Woodloch Forest Drive, suite 300) and The Chamber Information Center at Market Street. Ticket prices are $20 in advance and $25 at the door the evening of the event. Corporate ticket packages are available for up to a 55% discount--depending upon the level of commitment.

Bring The Montgomery County Food Bank was founded in 1985 to help allocate food as a resource for people who are facing hunger-related issues. The Food Bank is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than one million pounds of food each year to low-income children, adults, and seniors residing in Montgomery County.

The Food Bank's mission is to feed hungry people by soliciting and distributing donated food and grocery products through partnerships with donors and other charitable organizations as well as to educate the public about the nature of and solutions to the problems of hunger.
