What has 10,000 legs, lots of community spirit, and a hearty appetite for fun and food? The tremendous crowd for Taste of the Town!
In its 19 th year, Taste of the Town, slated for Thursday, January 27 th, is the South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce’s annual salute to our area restaurants and food industry companies. For those that can remember not too many years ago, families actually ate at home every night of the week! Let us introduce you to the many culinary wonders of a growing and vital community.
Funds from admissions tickets and sponsorships provide for the development of Chamber programs to help local businesses grow. Individual ticket prices are $20, and business owners can treat their customers and employees to bargain tickets by buying multi-ticket packages. This small price covers all food and beverage at the event! Tickets are available at area Randalls, Kroger Stores, Woodforest National Banks, The Villager, and The Chamber office.
However, you might want to tuck in your extra spending money because the Silent Auction will tempt your shopping bug, and Valentine’s Day is beating its little heart soon! In fact, look for an extra special “popular choice’ voting area at the year’s event – think CHOCOLATE!
As if that weren’t more than enough for party animals everywhere, once again the Karaoke Contest will feature the finalists from preliminary competition at Papa’s Ice House. The winning prizes, sponsored by AAA of Texas, include a glorious cruise for the adult division and an exciting trip to the Grand Canyon for the youth division. Adding to the musical ambiance will be our favorite crooner, Ramon Torres.
The venue for Taste of the Town, The Woodlands Waterway Marriott’s Exhibit Hall, gives the “icing on the Taste cake” to a Town Center tradition.
