THE WOODLANDS, TX (July 2, 2008) - In preparation for one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the Greater Houston area, road closures at Timberloch Place between Woodloch Forest Drive and the I-45 Feeder will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 4.
This area will be shut down and barricaded until given the all clear by public safety later that evening.
Beginning July 4, The Woodlands Waterway Trolleys will offer a revised trolley route to accommodate Fourth of July festivities. The trolley stops include: Community Center, South Montgomery County Library, Town Green Park, The Woodlands Mall Central Park at Market Street, and HEB Central Market.
Trolleys will not operate along The Woodlands Waterway® from July 4 through July 7. These trolley stops include the south exit of the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, the south entrance of The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, Waterway Avenue, Waterway Square, Woodloch Forest Drive at Waterway Bridge, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, and Landry’s Seafood House. The trolleys will begin their regularly scheduled route on July 8.
Water taxis will operate along The Woodlands Waterway® on July 3 from 11 am -10 pm and July 4 between 11 am and 11 pm. Special water taxi pricing for July 4 includes an All-Day Pass for $4 and a Seniors/Youth/Disabled Pass for $2.
The water taxis will not operate during the fireworks display on July 4 from 8:45 pm - 10 pm, but will resume operation after the fireworks have completed.
The public is discouraged from parking in the surrounding neighborhoods; parking is available for $5 in the Town Center Parking Garage located on Six Pines Drive or 24 Waterway Parking Garage located on Lake Robbins Drive. Visitors may park for free at the orange, yellow and green lots along Timberloch Place.
