THE WOODLANDS, Texas (June 2, 2008) -- The Executive Committee of The Woodlands Township approved on June 2, 2008 a 60-day transition plan to manage the organization’s day-to-day operations after its president accepted a town manager position in California.
The Vice President of Operations & Public Safety, the Vice President of Finance & Administration, and the Vice President of Marketing & Public Affairs, or the acting person in any of these positions, will be co-managers to assume day-to-day operations of The Woodlands Township upon the departure of Frank W. Robinson, who was serving as president. Mr. Robinson, who was the township's first employee in 1994, accepted a position as Town Manager of the Town of Apple Valley, California. His last day at The Woodlands Township is Friday, June 13, 2008. "We appreciate the service of Mr. Robinson and his commitment to making The Woodlands a world-class town," said Nelda Luce Blair, Chairman of the Board. |
