The Woodlands, Texas – The South Montgomery County Woodlands Chamber of Commerce will honor community volunteers with “A World of Thanks” at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, March 2, at The Woodlands United Methodist Church.
The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon, hosted by The Chamber’s Community Relations Team, is an annual event designed to honor the caring volunteers of The Chamber’s non-profit members.
"We truly want to honor those in the community who are so giving of their time and talent," said Angela Borel, Director of Special Projects for The Chamber. “So many people make a difference in the community, and this is just another way for our member organizations to recognize and honor those dedicated people.”
Each Chamber member non-profit organization is invited to bring five of tits most dedicated volunteers to attend the luncheon.
The speaker for this year’s Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon is Scott McClelland, the President of H-E-B’s Houston Division. He has been active in Houston United Way and the Advance Team for MD Anderson. Scott serves on the Advisory Committee for the McComb’s School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin and is a board member of the Greater Houston Partnership. He has also been a board member of the Holocaust Museum in Houston.
H-E-B and D&D Collision Specialist have generously signed on as $1,000 Grazie Sponsors of the popular luncheon. H-E-B is also donating the food for the celebration.
