SINGAPORE AIRLINES INTRODUCES SERVICE TO HOUSTON WITH
TWO-DAY CELEBRATION
AT MARKET STREET – THE WOODLANDS
THE WOODLANDS, TX (March 14, 2008) – Market Street - The Woodlands will present the cuisine and hospitality of Singapore as the lifestyle and entertainment center hosts Singapore Airlines’ launch of service in Houston.
The two-day celebration will be held April 5 – 6 from 10 am – 8 pm at Market Street’s Central Park, where Singapore Airlines will present food, entertainment and fun for the entire family, including the chance to win a vacation for two to Singapore.
While at Market Street, visitors can sample authentic Singaporean culinary delights and enjoy special cooking demonstrations, tri-shaw rides and traditional Lion dance performances. The two-day celebration also will include face painting, a spinning Singapore Wheel of Fortune, and the Children’s Lantern Festival.
For those wanting to experience the luxury of traveling in First and Business Class cabins, Singapore Airlines will present a display of airline seats for guests to enjoy.
“In addition to connecting our culture center with those of Singapore, the arrival of Singapore Airlines gives our visitors a chance to learn more about the richness of the Singaporean way of life,” says Market Street Activities Coordinator Jenny Taylor. “We’re honored to host the launch of the airlines service to Houston.”
Houston becomes the sixth gateway in Singapore Airlines’ North American network, which includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, Newark, New York (JFK) and Vancouver.
Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan’s Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.
