MARKET STREET IN THE WOODLANDS PRESENTS
SMOOTH JAZZ CONCERT SERIES

THE WOODLANDS, TX. (March 22, 2005) . . .Want to unwind on Thursday nights this spring with the soothing sounds of a jazz band? Bring a blanket or lawn chair and visit Market Street’s Central Park for a free concert performed by renowned jazz musicians in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Beginning March 17 and continuing through June, visitors to Market Street can enjoy a variety of musicians playing smooth jazz each Thursday night from 6:30 – 9:30 pm. These accomplished musicians are some of the finest smooth jazz performers anywhere. Sit back, relax and enjoy a Thursday night that is sure to be music to your ears. Future performers include:

March 24 - Kyle Turner
T his contemporary jazz saxophonist has shared the stage with artists such as Luther Vandross, Bobby Lyle and Kirk Whalum.

March 31 – Ken Mondshine
Ken has been named one of the finest saxophone players in Houston.

April 7- Mark Dini
Nominated several times by The Houston Press as the best jazz group in Houston, the Mark Dini Group has also received three entry-level Grammy nominations.

April 14 – Spellbound
This accomplished six member band includes Jay Hollander, Gary Gibbs, Julie Johnson, Jude Gonsalves Bob Reeves and Jaime Casco.

April 21 - David Caceres
David Caceras and his six-piece jazz band have become one of the most sought-after in Houston. His background is of a rich musical heritage, as several family members of his were also accomplished musicians.

Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan’s Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.
