THE MARTIN-BROWER COMPANY PURCHASES 12 ACRES IN
THE WOODLANDS TRADE CENTER
THE WOODLANDS, TX – (March 17, 2008) – The Martin-Brower Company, distributor for McDonald’s restaurants, has purchased an additional 12 acres of land in The Woodlands Trade Center for expansion of its distribution center, according to Greg Jordan, director of commercial sales for The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC).
The company plans to break ground in the second quarter of 2008 for the construction of a 150,000-square-foot building on the 12-acre parcel. Martin Brower already owns 11 acres of adjacent land and a 50,000-square-foot building at 840 South Trade Center Parkway. The company currently employs approximately 170 people, with plans for modest future growth in their employee base. The facility serves South Central Texas.
The Woodlands is a 28,000-acre, master-planned community located 27 miles north of downtown Houston. It is a project of The Woodlands Development Company, a limited partnership of Morgan Stanley and General Growth Properties, Inc.
