Free concert benefits Salvation Army Angel Tree
THE WOODLANDS, Texas. November 1, 2005 – The Woodlands Mall will present An Evening With John Berry on Friday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. on the Outdoor Courtyard stage at the shopping center. Admission to the concert is free, but guests are asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for the Salvation Army Angel Tree.
Previously nominated as Best Male Vocalist at the Grammy, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Awards shows, Berry will perform live, including holiday favorites from his acclaimed Christmas albums. The Woodlands Mall event is the only stop in Texas for John Berry’s incomparable Christmas Tour. In addition, Mr. Berry, will sign autographs for fans after the performance. Official merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
“We are so fortunate to be able to bring John Berry here for this performance. He has a strong following, for good reason. His songs are wonderful; in fact, his O Holy Night is described as ‘so lovely and exquisite, it almost hurts.’ The performance will fill the area with the sounds of the holidays and it will be a beautiful way to start the season and our holiday entertainment offerings at The Woodlands Mall,” said Wendy Ellis, senior marketing manager at The Woodlands Mall.
An Evening With John Berry is a benefit concert for the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, which accepts donations for children and senior citizens who are in area nursing homes in Montgomery County. The toys collected at the Berry’s performance will be distributed to area children.
The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. on the outdoor performance stage. In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be held inside in Center Court.
