MARKET STREET WELCOMES A SPECIAL GUEST AT TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 18

Market Street welcomes some very special guests to the 3 rd annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Saturday, November 18 at 6 pm in Central Park.

Woodlands-area resident Ryan Lively, a three-year-old patient at Texas Children's Hospital, will ceremoniously light the 70-foot Christmas tree in Central Park with help from his parents and doctors, symbolizing the joy and hope of the holiday season.

Ryan's parents Melissa and John David Lively, older brother JD Lively (23), married sister Amanda Kaufman (26), her husband JC Kaufman and speech therapist Allison Parker will accompany him onstage.

The tree lighting will be followed by spirited holiday tunes played by Holiday Brass in Central Park. Magic elves will delight visitors throughout the evening and carriage rides will be available as well.

“”The Tree Lighting Ceremony signifies the start of the holiday season at Market Street,” said Jenny Taylor, Activities Coordinator for Market Street. “We are pleased that we can host such a special guest to light our Christmas tree this year.”

All Market Street holiday events are free and open to the public.

Located across the street from The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, Market Street is bounded by Lake Woodlands Drive, Lake Robbins Drive, Grogan's Mill Road and Six Pines Drive.

Market Street is a joint-venture development of Trademark Property Company and Kimco Developers, Inc., an affiliate of the real estate investment trust (REIT) Kimco Realty Corporation.
